Paul,
I'm concerned about the toolbar not sticking.
Although it may have to do with the shutdown. Try shutting it down manually with File | Exit, and see if that makes a difference vs. doing a safe eject. When ClipMate is notified by U3 that the drive is being ejected, it skips some steps in the shutdown.

So far so good on my beta. I'm using it on a 4GB Verbatim stick running Portable Apps. It installed and is running without a hitch so far. I also restored my desktop data to it with no problems.
After my vacation this week, I'll be able to really give it a run for it's money on my work laptop.

I've got the letest Beta installed and DEP turned off. So far so good, but I have noticed that DEP has a mind of it's own. I've never had to turn it off, but out of nowhere it refused to let Clipmate run. Thinking it was me, I tried a system restore, then a complete removal of the Beta, and reinstall of the regular version, Clipmate 7 still refused to run until I thought of DEP.

Are you certain that you have 7.2.00.151? This is the first build with the (supposed) DEP fix. You shouldn't have to turn off DEP with this one.

Sorry, that was a little misleading. I was talking about the previous beta. This one works fine with DEP turned on.

I too installed the portable version on a generic thumb drive. It worked great. Installed easily, picked up the data and license (without even having to start/stop/start as per the instructions). It opened in default mode twice, though I haven't tried to shut itdown "nicely" yet.

One question: Is there an easy way to synchronize the database from now on?

Good job!

Synching is done via XML Export/Import, just as you would do with multiple computers.
